The Fryeburg Fair
welcomes teachers, homeschoolers, & students
of all grade levels.
There are lots of
fun and educational
exhibits & demonstrations.
It's all about the importance of agriculture in our daily lives -
the past, the present, and most importantly,
the future!
Calf born during the 2010 Fryeburg Fair
On display during the eight days of Fryeburg Fair are over
3,000 head of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, hogs, poultry, rabbits, oxen and more;
housed in barns constructed to
get even the smallest visitor
up close and personal!
The barns have educational information, and social areas where you can visit with the owners, who welcome
your questions.
Do you know that…
- The best cows give over 25 gallons of milk each day.
That’s 400 glasses of milk!
- One gallon of milk weighs over eight pounds.
- It takes 12 pounds of whole milk to make one gallon
of ice cream.
- It takes 21.2 pounds of whole milk to make one pound of butter.
