On Jan. 24, 2006 Jack Cashman (rt), commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, presented the Fryeburg Fair with the Governor's Award for Tourism Excellence. Accepting the award were First Vice President & General Superintendent Roy Andrews, Parade Assistant Duddie Andrews and State Sen. David R. Hastings III, a member of the fair's Finance Committee.
