Craft Center

All applications and materials must be received by Dec. 31, for the next fair year.

  1. Write a short letter of intent, listing the type of craft(s) and products you wish to sell and exhibit. Please be specific in listing your products. All crafts must be handmade by the applicant and/or their immediate employee(s).
  2. Include pictures or samples of your display and products. Due to the number of applicants, pictures and samples will not be returned. Even if you have previously exhibited, you must complete this step or your application will be considered incomplete.
  3. Enclose a list of Fairs and/or Trade Shows in which you have participated, highlighting or listing any special award(s) or distinctions.
  4. List the amount of space you require for your display. The Craft Center has 10' wide by 7' deep or 14' wide by 7' deep booths.

Applications will be reviewed and juried by a panel based on product quality, style and originality. Notifications of acceptance will be mailed in February for requested year. We are looking for original crafts that are displayed in a professional manner. If you demonstrate your craft while exhibiting, please indicate so in your letter.

The Craft Center does not have “grandfather” rights; therefore, it is necessary for all crafters to reapply each year. Items that are not listed in your application or contract cannot be sold without approval from the Craft Superintendent.

Remember that in order to participate in the Craft Center, you must live within the State of Maine or the West Oxford Agricultural Society which includes the following towns: Fryeburg, Lovell, Stow, Waterford, Stoneham, Hiram, Sweden, Porter, Bridgton, Otisfield, Cornish, Baldwin, Standish, Harrison, Denmark and Brownfield in Maine; Freedom, Eaton, Bartlett, Chatham, Conway and Jackson in New Hampshire.

Energy Row

Energy Row is an outdoor vendor area established in 2009 which is devoted to showing different sources of energy and energy efficiency products. The area has been well received by our thousands of fairgoers and the participating vendors are pleased with the interest shown in their products.

  1. Write a short letter of intent, listing the type of product(s) you wish to sell and exhibit.
  2. Submit pictures of your display and details of the product line. You may also refer us to your website for further information and detail.
  3. Enclose a list of Fairs and/or Trade Shows in which you have participated, highlighting or listing any special award(s) or distinctions.
  4. List the amount of space you require for your display. Vendor spaces are 20’ deep and are located off a paved walkway with electricity and water available at no additional charge.
  5. Please be sure to include a phone number, web address and email where you can be contacted.

Applications will be accepted after November 1, of the preceding fair year. reviewed and contracts will mail in mid to late February.

Specialty Foods Pavilion

If you are interested in participating in the Specialty Foods Pavilion at the Fryeburg Fair, you may submit a packet any time after October 31.  Please follow these instructions:

  1. Write a short letter of intent, listing the type of product(s) you wish to sell and exhibit. Please be very specific in listing your products as we will be limiting duplicates and may restrict certain items. All specialty food products must be produced by the applicant and/or their immediate employee(s).
  2. Include pictures of your display and samples of your products. All product samples will be opened and consumed during the jury process. Due to the number of applicants, pictures will not be returned. Even if you have previously exhibited, you must complete this step or your application will be considered incomplete.
  3. Enclose a list of Fairs and/or Trade Shows in which you have participated, highlighting or listing any special award(s) or distinctions.
  4. List the amount of space you require for your display. Booths in the Specialty Foods Pavilion are 10’ x 10’.

Your business must be in the States of Maine or New Hampshire in order to qualify for the Specialty Foods Pavilion. Products must be pre-packaged for retail and not served for immediate consumption, sampling is allowed.

Independent Midway

Any time after October 31, you may submit a packet which includes the following:

  1. Write a short letter of intent, listing the type of product(s) you wish to sell and exhibit.
  2. Submit pictures of your display and details of the product line. You may also refer us to your website for further information and detail.
  3. Enclose a list of Fairs and/or Trade Shows in which you have participated, highlighting or listing any special award(s) or distinctions.
  4. List the amount of space you require for your display and whether you desire indoor or outdoor space.
  5. Please be sure to include a phone number and email address where you can be contacted.

We are looking for unique items that are displayed in a professional manner.

Expos

  5. Please be sure to include a phone number and email address where you can be contacted.

We are looking for unique items that are displayed in a professional manner.

Commercial Midway

If you are interested in applying to the fair you may submit a packet any time after October 31 which includes:

  1. Write a short letter of intent listing the product(s) you wish to sell. We try not to put competitors with same brand name products close together and that is why it’s important to list brand names and be as specific as possible.
  2. Tell us what size (frontage) space you would like. We’ll do the best we can to give you what you want but realize that most will ask for more space and we only have so much!!  Depending on where you are located in the Commercial area the depth of the area may vary. The cost of the space is determined by the frontage foot and consideration given for total square footage and location.
  3. Be sure to include at least your name, address, telephone number(s), fax number, and email address.

All current vendors and new applications will be reviewed and vendors selected that insure we have a variety of quality products and displays available for our patrons to view and purchase from.

Only items that are listed in your application and included on your contract can be sold. Any additional items must have the approval of the Superintendent prior to the fair.
