Winning Bidder Information

The Fryeburg Livestock Committee and 4-H leader Donna Flint, will convene on Monday, October 5th at 9 a.m. The Committee will call all successful bidders between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to discuss details pertaining to payment and processing for your animal. If, for some reason, you are unavailable during this time frame, please call the Fryeburg Fair Office Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 207-935-3268, to let us know a date and time best for you.

The Committee needs to go over the slaughter house details with each successful bidder. Fryeburg Fair has retained dates at several butcher shops for processing of the animals. We will discuss with you, the purchaser, the butcher shop availability and the best location(s) for all involved. Most of the animals will, no doubt, be brought to the Fryeburg Fairgrounds on Tuesday, October 6th, by the 4-H’er and loaded right onto butcher shop trailers. There is a possibility that those animals raised north of Fryeburg, designated to go to Weston’s Meat and Poultry, may be delivered by the 4-H’er directly to Weston’s Meat and Poultry, Gardiner, ME.

You, as the successful purchaser, will not need to be at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds when the animals are transferred. We will take charge of transferring them to the correct location. Cutting orders, corresponding to the butcher shop designated, will be sent to you via e-mail, using the e-mail address provided.
