The Fryeburg Fair Draft Horse and Pony Show is the largest show in Maine. Hitch Classes from Single Cart to the Eight Horse Hitch are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Junior Hitch Classes, including Single and Pair Classes, are included in the Hitch Classes. The Halter Show is held on Tuesday afternoon in the Pulling Arena and our Youth Show including Fitting, Braiding and Showmanship is held on Friday morning in the Woodward Arena. Fair guests can also visit the horses, ponies and exhibitors in the Barns during non-show hours.
Judges from all across the United States and Canada come to Fryeburg to judge the majestic Belgians, Percherons, Clydesdales and Shires along with Haflinger and Clydesdale/Cross Draft ponies. Our exhibitors come from Northern New England and the Province of New Brunswick.
